Allen Levesque ’59 and his wife Barbara have been serving as co-chairs of Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s Alden Society since June 2012. The Alden Society was established in 1992 to recognize alumni and friends of WPI who have made provisions in their estate plans for the benefit of WPI. Named in honor of George Alden, WPI’s first professor of mechanical engineering, the Alden Society grew from its founding with 154 charter members to approximately 500 members today. The goal is to increase membership to 600 by June 30, 2015. Alden Society members receive recognition at an annual luncheon during Alumni Weekend and are invited to other special events throughout the year. “My wife and I are honored to stay involved with our alma mater and be a part of such a meaningful organization at WPI,” commented Levesque.
