It is with great thanks that we write this article in recognition of the service of Andrew Schwalbenberg to the Epsilon chapter of Theta Chi. Andrew known as “œSchwally” to those in his era served as president of the chapter before moving on to serve as a projects chairman for the Epsilon Building Association (EBA).

As a member of the EBA Andrew was most notably a man of action and an extremely hard worker, consistently volunteering to lead projects and often times tackle them himself. During his time he helped drive many of the major chapter house renovations including the entirely new kitchen, roof replacement, and major bathroom renovations. As a Fire Protection Engineer he also personally made sure that the chapter was up to code and ensured proper housing upkeep was maintained so the chapter house can remain for years to come.

After 5 years of service, Andrew left the EBA in 2013 to move forward towards his career goals of joining the US Coast Guard with the ultimate dream of becoming a helicopter pilot. In May of 2014 he graduated from the US Coast Guard Officer Candidate School in New London Connecticut and was awarded the National Coast Guard Auxiliary Award For the highest proficiency in Natural Science. Andrew is now serving as Deck Watch Officer in St. Petersburg Florida

Andrew’s presence will be sorely missed as his efforts to our team were invaluable. It is our hope that he finds success in his new career and we wish him the best.
