March 1st, 2017 marks the 149th anniversary of our great Fraternity. What began with six esteemed men at the University of Virginia in 1868 has emerged into almost a century and a half of robust history and lifelong friendships.

Pi Kappa Alpha is an international fraternity based around four overarching qualities: Scholarship, Leadership, Athletics, and Gentlemanly Qualities. Here at the Gamma Xi chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha, we strive to excel at all four of these qualities; from winning the intramural athletic award, placing first in sorority hosted philanthropy events, maintaining a high grade point average and engagement in campus activities.
Our brotherhood is impactful on the community, engaged in our University, caring about our fraternity and trained how to be successful in both our education and our careers. We have a diverse environment that allows everyone to be able to enjoy a true college experience, as well as being a part of something that will last a lifetime.
“For the establishment of friendship on a firmer and more lasting basis; for the promotion of brotherly love and kind feeling; for the mutual benefit and advancement of the interests of those with whom we sympathize and deem worthy of our regard; We have resolved to form a fraternity, believing that, thus we can most successfully accomplish our object.”
