Epsilon Beta-Valparaiso University

Recruitment is the most important part of any organization. Without successful recruitment any organization, team, or club would cease to exist. However, Pi Kappa Alpha takes recruitment to the next level, recruiting Scholars, Leaders, Athletes, and Gentlemen.

There are currently 54 members of the Epsilon Beta Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha at Valparaiso University. In the Spring of 2017, 23 new members were pinned. The active members of our chapter work everyday looking for new potential members who demonstrate the characteristics of the True Pike men.

Scholars- We realize students come to Valparaiso or any university for their education. Valpo Pikes consistently strive to have the highest GPA among all IFC fraternities.

Leaders- Valpo Pikes are involved heavily in organizations in our community and campus.

Athletes- Pi Kappa Alpha is known for our athletics, however, we do not just recruit athletes. We recruit men with the competitive drive to win and be the best in everything they do. Valpo Pikes fit this description and participate in as many intramural as we can, including flag football, basketball, volleyball, and floor hockey to just name a few. Additionally, we are proud to have 17 NCAA Division I athletes who are current members.

Gentlemen- You can be a scholar, leader, or athlete but if you are not a gentleman there is no place in Pi Kappa Alpha for you. We do not want guys that are just courteous to women or dress appropriate to events, but we want guys that hold themselves to the highest standard possible.

Fall recruitment will begin for men who are of sophomore standing or older when the Fall 2018 semester begins and runs several weeks into the school year. Spring recruitment for freshman begins shortly after the Spring 2019 semester begins, with 2 1/2 weeks of active recruitment in which potential new members are allowed to attend events put on by the fraternity.
