Alpha Tau-University of Utah

The Alpha Tau Chapter got its start in 1911 as a local fraternity (Xi Kappa Phi), before becoming the 43rd chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha on April 20, 1912. Today, Alpha Tau has over 2,800 initiates making it the third largest chapter nationwide and one of the largest fraternities on the University of Utah campus.

Our chapter is a proud supporter of Camp Hobé. CampHobé is a special summer camp designed for children with cancer and their siblings, who are often forgotten in the cancer experience. CampHobé gives kids the opportunity to participate in camp activities just like healthy children whose families are not affected by cancer. To find out more visit Camp Hobe

The Alpha Tau Pikes are active participants in various aspects of campus life at the University of Utah and are very active in their community. Our members hold leadership positions in the University of Utah’s Student Government (ASUU), Interfraternity Council (IFC), and the Hinckley Institute of Politics. More so as students of a top research university our members work with professors in a variety of fields.

Like all Pikes nationwide, our chapter strives to be Scholars, Leaders, Athletes, and Gentlemen.
