Pi Kappa Alpha’s members strive to be Scholars, Leaders, Athletes, and Gentlemen, and they seek excellence in everything they do. Ever since the expansion consultants Devon Teixeira and Jeff Farris came to colonize University of Maryland during the spring of 2016, the men of Pi Kappa Alpha have made a positive impact on Greek life and the entire College Park community. Participating in various community service events ranging from Terps Against Hunger, where they packaged meals for hungry families, to tutoring middle and high school kids from around the area, the men of Pi Kappa Alpha Delta Psi colony have immediately looked to get involved within the community. With an intramural championship under their belt as well as a growing social presence and respect within Greek life, the Delta Psi colony has rapidly gained recognition. There is a dedicated membership and executive board that has been relentless in seeking success, leading them to becoming one of the fastest colonies in University of Maryland history to become IFC recognized. In addition, they have achieved one of the highest Pi Kappa Alpha colony evaluation scores in the nation in the spring of 2017. They even won the coveted “Most Improved Chapter” award at the UMD Greek awards (pictured below), which is only given out to chapters that the University has a great deal of respect for. They have also achieved DSFL recognition, clearing the way for them to submit their petition to charter by the end of this summer. The men of Pi Kappa Alpha Delta Psi colony strive for excellence in everything they do and they will not settle for anything less. Together, they are rebuilding Pi Kappa Alpha’s reputation at the University of Maryland and creating a colony that is structured around their 4 pillars (SLAG) and is admired throughout the entire community.
