Pi Kappa Alpha’s members strive to be Scholars, Leaders, Athletes, and Gentlemen, and they seek excellence in everything they do.
A message from our president Brothers, Family, and Friends, As the new president of the Kappa Sigma Chapter, I am pleased to announce our successes last fall as we strive to achieve even greater accomplishments this spring. Thanks to the hard work and dedication from all of our members in recruitment, we proudly welcomed eleven new members into the bonds this past fall. Since my first days as a brother, I have watched this chapter grow from merely 24 brothers to now pushing 40 in only 3 semesters. We continue to not only be the largest Fraternity on campus, but also the best Fraternity on campus. In October, we raised over $1,500 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation in our second annual Tour de Pink event in which we took shifts pedaling on a stationary bike for 72 consecutive hours. In the end, the mileage totaled over 1,000 miles. We also moved one step further in obtaining a permanent house for the chapter as we worked security for Pittsburgh Steeler and University of Pittsburgh football games during their respective 2012 seasons. In all, this provided the house fund an additional $5,000. The brothers are driven and motivated this semester more than ever and have an Excellence Award in their line of sights. With the legitimate possibility of becoming a 50 man chapter in the next couple of months, I have full confidence in reaching this goal. This spring, we have quite a few events planned that I hope you can attend, including our 3rd annual Golf Outing. I am very excited about this upcoming semester and only hope that you are as well.
In the bonds of Phi Phi Kappa Alpha, Mr. Jonathan R. Finn President
