The Pi Kappa Alpha S.L.A.G. Scholarship:

The Gamma Tau Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha is offering scholarships to exemplary gentlemen of the incoming RPI first-year class. The application for this scholarship is open to both men and females of the RPI Class of 2020.

Criteria for consideration:

To be considered for this Scholarship you will be asked to answer three questions in essay format. These questions will be meant for you to express how you embody the ideals of a S.L.A.G.; a S.L.A.G. is a  Scholar, Leader, Athlete, and above all a Gentleman. This scholarship is for incoming freshmen who embody and demonstrate these values. The ideal candidate will be able to convey how they have made those around them better through their service to community and self.

With the increasing prices of college tuition the brothers of Pi Kappa Alpha know that any help is more than appreciated. This fall, we will be presenting an opportunity for 4 members of the incoming RPI Class of 2020 to earn a cash prize of up to $300. This scholarship is meant to help with the purchase of textbooks or any other supplies needed to bring your academic career at the prestigious institution at Rensselaer.

The first step in the application process is to fill out a short questionnaire located below. The due date for this form is August 24th.

Once we review all applications, we will select 16 finalists that will need to each go through an interview process with executive members of the house. If selected you will be scheduled for a final interview that will commence the week before or at the start of classes, between August 24th and September 4th. The interviews will be approximately 30 minutes in length and are designed for the candidate to be able to show they have the true demeanor of a S.L.A.G.

Grand Prize: $300

Runner Up: $100

3rd and 4th: $50 each
