Jan 27, 2013 Lexington, KY “ The Omega chapter of The Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity is proud to announce that 17 currently enrolled students at the University of Kentucky have accepted a bid and have therefore become potential new members of our chapter and brotherhood.

The University of Kentucky plays hosts to over 20 different fraternities ranging from 15 to 130 members who all play a part in competing for potential new members every Spring and Fall. A single week is set aside at the beginning of each school semester when incoming freshman and any other student that are interested in joining a fraternity can interact with active members of any fraternity on campus that interests them. These two weeks are known by the college community as œRush Week.

Now that these 17 outstanding men have received and accepted bids from the chapter, they will undergo an eight-week process before getting initiated and becoming active members of the organization. This process is in place to insure that these young men gain adequate knowledge of the chapters history, become familiar with a majority of the current members, and learn how to become œTrue Pikes before getting initiated.

Direct any recruitment questions towards our current Recruitment Chair, Brady Culver at brady.culver@gmail.com, and direct any new member education process questions at our current Pledge Educator, Sean LaManna at sean.lamanna@gmail.com.

The Omega Chapter of The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity was founded at the University of Kentucky in 1900 and has initiated more than 2,000 members. In addition to the accomplishments at the University of Kentucky, The Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity has maintained the largest average chapter size of any inter/national fraternity for most of the past 20 years, and through its members has donated millions of hours and dollars to philanthropic causes and community organizations across North America. “Pi Kappa Alphas mission is to develop men of integrity, intellect, and high moral character and to fostering a truly lifelong fraternal experience.
