Lambda Mu-Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Daytona Beach

As PIKEs, we hold scholastic achievement in high regard. Improving the scholastic standing of our members is one of our main priorities as a Greek organization. Therefore, managing a successful academic environment for the chapter is a reasonable expectation. The Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity has always believed that improving scholastic performance and having high standards regarding academics are important aspects for an exceptional undergraduate experience.  At Embry-Riddle, students are often involved in very specialized and difficult aeronautical and engineering degrees, and the Lambda Mu chapter understands the importance of each student’s academic pursuit. Lambda Mu strives to uphold and exceed the academic standards set by the university.

The Chapter’s academic goals include:

Achieving a GPA above the campus averages for all fraternity, all greek, and all men, maintaining eligibility for, and winning Pi Kappa Alpha International Awards and student organization awardsImproving all areas of chapter operations through academic excellence resulting in better:

  • Alumni support
  • Image on campus
  • Membership retention rate
  • Recruitment program
  • Quality of membership

Students attend college in order to receive an education, not to join a fraternity. With that in mind, it is important to remember that scholarship is one of the most important, and fundamental expectations of the Fraternity. In many ways, a successful scholarship program is the life of a fraternity.  The Lambda Mu chapter will continue to foster a sense of scholarship, striving everyday to become better than we were yesterday.
