Annual Campaign

Brother,

As an active at Alpha Eta, brotherhood was prevalent from the moment you started rushing, to the moment you left Ohio Northern University. We learned many lessons through the years; however, brotherhood remains at the front of our thoughts and minds. Brotherhood means something a little different to each of us. As I reflect on what it means to me, I think about the bond I made with my brothers who were there during my time at school, the alumni and brothers who came before me, and now the new generation of brothers who continue to work, fight, and strive to make Alpha Eta a better place for all. Each of us developed and contributed in our own way, big or small, to sustain the Chapter we inherited from those who came before us. Alpha Eta taught us to focus on what we could do, not what we couldn’t.

Our collegiate members carry on this can-do attitude through their positive impact on Ohio Northern’s campus and in the community. This past winter, our Alpha Eta brothers hosted their annual Polar Plunge event to raise money for the American Red Cross. This summer, many of the actives attended a two-day Chapter retreat, hosted by Headquarters, where they received training on recruitment, team building, and risk management. By working together, they are achieving their goals and strengthening their bond as brothers.

Last year, 49 generous alumni came together and raised $9,466 toward erecting a flag pole in honor of brother Loren Schoenberger ’39, scholarship funds for outstanding GPA, and the upcoming centennial celebration in 2020. Your brothers saw the undergraduates’ need and knew they could make in impact. Alumni donations not only sustain our physical home, they provide an environment for our men to learn and grow as a team. Each contribution gets us one step closer to our goals.

This year, the Alumni Corporation Board will be looking to use your donation toward:

  • Continued house improvement, such as a new dishwasher for the kitchen and cosmetic updates to keep the house looking fresh.
  • Affording Room and Board Scholarships to actives that earn the required GPA.
  • Continued saving for our centennial celebration. The ACB would like to cover as much of the cost as possible and your donations to the annual campaign will make a direct impact in helping us provide a memorable experience for those in attendance.

As an alumnus, what can you do for Alpha Eta? This fall, a gift from you can give Alpha Eta confidence, strength, and build brotherhood. By giving back today, you are doing more than making a donation—you are making a difference in the lives of our brothers. Join me in demonstrating to a new generation of brothers what we can do when we come together and support our Chapter.

To contribute, click the “Support the Campaign” button on the right hand side of this page. All contributions will be managed by the ACB to ensure the Chapter continues to flourish. You can break your gift into monthly, quarterly or semiannual payments. You can also set up recurring payments to automatically charge your credit card or draft payments from your checking account.

The benefits that come from membership last well beyond our collegiate years. Your gift to Alpha Eta makes a difference and helps build on our brotherhood’s can-do attitude today and into the future.
