As a chapter, we understand how important it is to give back to a community that provides so much support. Nationally, we pair with the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). Along with the MDA, we have paired with the Rally Foundation which raises funds and awareness to battle childhood cancer. We chose the Rally Foundation after a senior brother, Jordan Muschamp, was diagnosed with leukemia. After a hard-fought battle, Jordan beat cancer and is recovering back at home. We look to see him back up at the Mansion soon!
Over the past year, we have donated over $12,000 towards our philanthropies. Over this past summer, our chapter took part in the MDA Walk here in Auburn. We put together a team, raising around $1,000 for the event. This fall, we held two main philanthropy events. Our first event was a benefit night at Momma Goldberg’s in Auburn. T-shirts were sold, donations were collected, and good times were shared as we raised funds and awareness for the Rally Foundation and our senior brother, Jordan. Continuing our contributions, we held our annual event, “Stomp the Plains” at the Mansion in October. This event is a dance competition amongst fraternities and always is a good time, as well as a good laugh, for anyone in attendance. This year we raised over $6,000 for the MDA and the Rally Foundation through the event.
Moving forward, we look to continue our support towards our philanthropies. With big plans and ideas in mind, the sky is the limit. If you have any questions about our philanthropies, our involvement, or how YOU could get involved, feel free to reach out to me. Thank you!
Fraternally,
