After more than a year in litigation, the FSU ATO House Corporation reached a Settlement Agreement with the Leon County Educational Facilities Authority and the FSU Foundation concerning the property we formally leased at Heritage Grove. The Authority will pay the ATO House Corporation $235,000 over the next three years as a result of the settlement agreement.
This settlement is the result of a decade-long dispute revolving around ATO’s previous plans to build a new house at Heritage Grove in Tallahassee. We would not have reached this successful outcome without the tenacity, commitment and great counsel from our ATO lawyers and brothers Matt Nasrallah ’84 and Jorge Piedra ’88.
The House Corporation will carefully manage this money as it is received over the next three years and hold it for ATO’s long-term housing needs. We’ll keep you informed as these housing plans develop.
